MAUD DATA MONETIZATION TERMS

(EU & Global – GDPR-Aligned)

1. Provider and Scope

These Data Monetization Terms (“DMT”) govern the use of the data monetization features of the MAUD platform by users.

The contracting entity is:

MyAutoData GmbH

These Terms supplement the MAUD Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

2. Core Principle: User-Controlled Data Economy

(1) MAUD enables users to:

  • control access to their data
  • selectively share their data
  • participate in the economic value generated from their data

(2) MAUD acts as:

  • platform operator
  • data intermediary
  • technical data trustee

Important:

MAUD does not “sell” data. Instead, it enables controlled, permission-based data access.

3. Types of Monetization

3.1 Data Access

Users may consent to allow:

  • anonymized or pseudonymized data
  • structured data fields, such as driving behavior and vehicle data

Access is:

  • selective
  • purpose-limited
  • time-bound

3.2 Offer-Based Monetization

Partners may:

  • generate personalized offers
  • contact users based on approved data access

Users decide:

  • whether to receive offers
  • whether to engage

3.3 Rewards & Incentives

Users may receive:

  • financial compensation
  • vouchers
  • discounts
4. Consent (GDPR Core Requirement)

(1) All data monetization activities are based on explicit user consent in accordance with Article 6 GDPR.

(2) Consent is:

  • granular, per use case
  • freely given
  • revocable at any time

(3) No monetization occurs without consent.

5. Data Types and Safeguards

(1) MAUD ensures:

  • data minimization
  • purpose limitation
  • restricted access

(2) Data is processed, where possible, in:

  • anonymized form
  • pseudonymized form

(3) Direct identification occurs only with additional explicit consent.

6. Compensation Model

(1) Revenue may be generated through:

  • data access
  • lead generation
  • completed transactions

(2) MAUD may receive a platform fee, such as a commission.

(3) Users may participate in the economic value generated from their data.

Important:

  • no guarantee of earnings
  • no entitlement to specific compensation
7. Role of MAUD

MAUD:

  • operates the platform
  • facilitates controlled data access
  • processes data on a technical basis

MAUD is not a purchaser of user data.

8. Third-Party Partners

(1) Partners receive access only:

  • within the scope of user consent
  • for defined purposes

(2) Partners act as independent controllers regarding:

  • their own data processing
  • their own services and offers

(3) MAUD is not responsible for:

  • partner conduct
  • economic outcomes
9. Withdrawal and Termination

(1) Users may:

  • withdraw consent at any time
  • disable data monetization features

(2) Upon withdrawal:

  • no further data access will occur

(3) Prior data use remains lawful.

10. Transparency

MAUD provides users with information regarding:

  • types of data usage
  • categories of partners
  • benefits received
11. Limitations

(1) Data monetization may be limited due to:

  • regulatory requirements
  • market conditions
  • technical constraints

(2) MAUD may modify or discontinue features.

12. Liability
  • no guarantee of earnings
  • no liability for indirect damages
  • no liability for third-party services
13. Relationship to Other Terms

These Terms:

  • supplement the MAUD Terms & Conditions
  • supplement the Privacy Policy

In case of conflict, the Privacy Policy prevails regarding data processing matters.
